Pierina Biondi

Pierina Biondi age 74 of Highwood passed away on September 15, 2021 at home. Born September 17, 1946 in S'Anna Pelago, Modena, Italy to the union of Angelo and Annunziatina (Renucci) Ugolini. In 1956 at the age of 10 the family immigrated to the United States to the Highland Park/Highwood area where she attended Oak Terrace School, Northwood Jr. High School and Elm Place Jr. High School. Graduating from Highland Park High School, class of 1966, she became a nurse and years later she earned a degree in Nursing from Harper College.  On April 24, 1971 in S'Anna Pelago, Modena, Italy she married Antonio Biondi and the couple started a family. Pierina retired from Highland Park Hospital after a long and gratifying career in nursing. She enjoyed working at  Abbott House in Highland Park during her retirement. Compassionate and practical, she was a wonderful nurse to many and a friend to all.

Beloved wife of Antonio. Loving mother of Nancy Biondi (David Holland) of Chicago. Devoted nonna of Nikolai Holland of Chicago, Dear sister of Enrico (Marcia) Ugolini of Deerfield. Fond aunt of Jason (Mary) Ugolini of Mundelein and great aunt of Dominic and Nora Ugolini of Mundelein.

Memorial visitation Wednesday, September 22, 2021 9:00 A.M. until time of memorial mass 10:00 A.M. at Saint James Church, 134 North Avenue, Highwood. Rev. Jo Andre Beltran, celebrant. Cremation was private.
