Pietro Giunta

Pietro Giunta, age 63 of Highland Park passed away peacefully on Monday evening November 27, 2023 in Highwood, Illinois. He was born August 23, 1960 in Rosali, Reggio Calabria, Italy to the union of Domenico and Maria (Calabrese) Giunta. The family immigrated in 1971 to Highwood/Highland Park where Pietro graduated from Highland Park High School, class of 1978. He worked for Two Guys from Italy and also at the Highland Park K-Mart.

Beloved son of the late Domenico on November 19, 2009 and Maria on June 23, 2020. Dear brother of Aurora (Antonino) De Marco of Highland Park and the late Caterina Giunta on January 4, 2001. Fond uncle of Sabrina Markoutsas of Gurnee and Antonio DeMarco of Highland Park. Great uncle of Niko Patterson, Costa and Spiro Markoutsas, James Carroll and Jonathan DeMarco.

Visitation Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral mass 10:00 A.M. at Christ Our Hope Parish, Immaculate Conception Campus. 770 Deerfield Road, Highland Park. Rev. Hernan Cuevas, celebrant. Entombment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, Illinois.
