Primitiva Arruela de Rodriguez, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully in Chicago, Illinois. She was 68 years old.
Born in Peru, Primitiva moved to the United States in 2001, where she made her home in Chicago. Throughout her life, Primitiva was known for her unwavering strength, deep faith, and boundless generosity. A devoted Catholic, she was an active member of Saint Viator Catholic Church, where she found comfort and community.
Primitiva was a hardworking woman who took pride in providing for her family. She worked tirelessly in a warehouse for many years, but her entrepreneurial spirit also shone through in her love of cooking. She often sold homemade food to family and friends, always ensuring that no one went hungry. Her kindness and thoughtfulness were felt by all who knew her, and she had a special way of bringing people together around a meal.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alberto Rodriguez. She leaves behind her children, Jose Rodriguez and Jessica Rodriguez; her cherished grandchildren, Lehia, Jimena, Diego, Nicole, and Alonso; as well as her siblings Aurora, Roby, Marie Elena, Ana, Jose, Angel, Salustiano, and Merardo.
Primitiva’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of her family and friends, but her legacy of love, kindness, and hard work will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
