Prisciliano Carranza Vargas

Prisciliano Carranza Vargas, age 78 of Rockford formerly of Highland Park passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, Illinois.  He was born January 4, 1942 in Copalillo, Guerrero, Mexico to the union of Arnulfo Carranza and Maria Josefina Vargas. He immigrated to Highland Park in March of 1990. Married Rafaela Torrez in 1961 until 1969. he entered into a civil union with Abacuc Nava Barrera from 1969 until 1977 and married Keren Sanchez Hernandez in November of 1999. Prisciliano worked many jobs in Highland Park from Lake Car Wash, Highland Park Country Club Kitchen, Denny's and Jewell/Osco.  He enjoyed playing poker, going to the rodeo and the horse races.

Beloved husband of Keren. Loving father of Francisco (Reyna Martinez) Carranza, Victor Manuel Carranza, Faustino (Claudia Juarez) Carranza, Urbano (Veronica Gaspar) Carranza, the late Marcela Carranza, Roman Carranza, Hilda (Alfonso) Peralta, Norberta (Daniel) Gomez, Edith Carranza, Florentina (Robert) Gomez, the late Enedina Carranza, Prisciliano Carranza, Jr., Anselmo (Haleigh Ingersoll) Carranza and Yasmin Carranza. Fond grandfather of Jose Manuel, Hector, Sidney, Roberto, Cesar, Alexander, Jerry, Ivan, Giovanni, Omar, Carlos, Raul, Juan, Rafaela, Melissa, David, Yesenia, Griselda, Michelle, Yareli, Emmanuel, Anahi, Mariela, Evelyn, Natalie, Santiago, Jayleen, Zayden and Jordan.  Great grandfather of 14. Dear brother to many.

Visitation Friday, November 6, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral service Noon at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, Illinois Deacon Luis Lara, officiating. Interment following at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
