Richard Joseph Tondi

Richard Joseph Tondi passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was born on October 26, 1948, in Highland Park, Illinois, to the union of Irvin Joseph Tondi and Gloria Tamer, and was raised in Highwood.

Richard attended Oak Terrace School and was a graduate of Highland Park High School class of 1967. He later followed in his father’s footsteps, becoming the successor of Byrton Dairy of Lake Forest, a business founded by his father and well known in the community.

Richard had a deep love for golf and cherished the time he spent playing alongside his father and friends. Those moments reflected his appreciation for tradition, friendship, and family.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Susan Tondi Wilson and Stephen Tondi.
