Richard "Rick" Wilhelm

Richard “Rick” Wilhelm, 60, of Round Lake Beach, IL passed away suddenly after a short battle with lung cancer on Monday, May 15, 2023 at the Condell Medical Center.  He was born November 23, 1962 in Chicago and was an only child born to the union of Francine and Christian Wilhelm. 

Rick is survived by his wife of 20 years Rosemary Wilhelm (nee Iddings) of Round Lake Beach, IL, his mother; Francine Nunan of Long Beach, CA, his heart adopted granddaughter; Alexis Neff of Warsaw, IN, his sister; Denise (Jeff) Krok of Aiken, SC, his brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Julie Iddings of Lowell, IN, Barbara and Paul Otte of Crown Point, IN, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; Christian Wilhelm and step-mother; Marilyn Wilhelm.

Rick loved the people he worked with and his job as an ERP Administrator for VRG Controls, was a passionate Chicago Bears fan, loved to camp and most of all at his place in Maine. He was a loving dog owner to Gus his lab, Mattie his border collie, and Ramsey his boxer/pointer, his cats Houdini and Simba, all of whom he and his wife Rosie adopted from Orphans of the Storm.
