Robert A. Brizzolara, Sr. 80, US Army Veteran of Arlington Heights, IL, passed away peacefully October 26, 2023. He was born June 22, 1943 in Chicago, IL, and was the younger son born to the union of Paul and Sara (Simon) Brizzolara. Bob was a financial analyst for Harris Bank for over 27 years, specializing in automotive and transportation companies. He graduated with a Masters in Business from Indiana University, was a member of Top Cats of IL motorcycle club, and member of Phi Kappa Tau, Iota Chapter at Coe College, in Cedar Rapids, IA, and a Leo High School graduate, Class of 61
Bob enjoyed studying various historical events and was an avid reader. He traveled the world visiting Europe numerous times and explored 5 continents. Bob enjoyed cooking, the fine arts, riding his motorcycles, and running his model trains. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his children; Diane (Bill) Panagakis of Huntley, IL, Robert Jr. (Natasha) Brizzolara of Waxhaw, NC, and Christine (Ian Tillrock) Brizzolara of Sleepy Hollow, IL, grandchildren; Sophia Panagakis, Dominic & Reese Brizzolara, his sister-in-law; Margaret Brizzolara of Loveland, OH, nephews; Richard (Maribeth) Brizzolara of Montgomery, OH, Paul (Janet) Brizzolara of Milford, OH, and Thomas (Dolly) Brizzolara of Batavia, OH, niece; Donna Gerding of Loveland, OH, and many great nieces, and great nephews, preceded in death by his parents Paul and Sara Brizzolara, and his brother; Richard Brizzolara.
Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, Il 60030, and Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM until time of chapel services at 11:00 A.M. Fr. John Chrzan, officiating, graveside interment with military honors to follow at the Mt.
