Robert Thomas Sublette, Sr., age 86, of Evanston Illinois passed away on September 4, 2023. He was born on August 5, 1937 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the union of Frank Ellis Sublette, Sr. and Lillian Benjamin. At nine years old Bob was too young to be in the Boy Scouts but, he went on to be troops mascot. As he grew he attained the honor of an Eagle Scout award. He graduated from Crane Technical Prep High School in Chicago and was active in the ROTC. After high school he then enlisted in the United States Air Force. In January of 1965 Bob married Jessie M. Payne at Saint Marks United Methodist Church. Bob worked for Dean Whitter and was the chauffeur for the President of Northwestern University of Evanston, Illinois. He was also a cab driver for 'Best Taxi' in Evanston and was cab #60. Years later Robert branched out and owned of his own private taxi service.
Within the last 10 months of his life, Bobs life's course took an interesting detour.
