Rosa Elena Granillo

Rosa Elena Granillo, age 64 of Highland Park, IL. Formerly of New York and New Jersey passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL.  She was born May 26, 1956 in San Miguel, El Salvador to the union of Carlos Villabos and Adelina Granillo. In 1973 at the age of 17 she immigrated to New York. She married Mario Raniolo in 1980 in Bronx, NY and worked 25 years as a supervisor in the manufacture of hearing aids at Siemens Corp.  In 2012 she moved to Highland Park, IL to live with her family.  Rosa enjoyed traveling through many European countries, South American countries and Canada but while here in Illinois she enjoyed spending time at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. She loved tending to her garden of Roses and various plants. She enjoyed living a organic and healthy lifestyle with natural herbs and oils. She especially loved art, music, and beautiful places. Her smile and laugh was one in a million and would brighten up anyones day. She was an extraordinary, strong and graceful woman. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, grandchildren, siblings and close friends. 

Loving mother of Jessica Raniolo of Piscataway, New Jersey and Melanie Raniolo of Belleville, Illinois. Fond grandmother of Christian Raniolo, Domenico Paniscotti, Isabella Paniscotti and Alyanna Rose Crowl. Dear sister of Arnoldo Granillo, Gloria Martinez, Maribel Granillo and Carlos Granillo. Cherished aunt and friend to many.

Visitation Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral service 12:30 P.M. at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, Illinois. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, Illinois.
