Rose Marie Coburn Obituary

Rose Marie Coburn, age 90 of Highland Park passed away Friday, May 29, 2026 in Vernon Hills, Illinois. Born August 18, 1935 in Bush, Illinois to the union of John and Mary (Bianchini) Garvaglia. She attended Oak Terrace School in Highwood and graduated from Highland Park High School, class of 1953. On April 24, 1954 at Immaculate Conception Church, Highland Park she married Kenneth Eugene Coburn, the love of her life. The young couple resided and raised their family in Highland Park.  Rose Marie was a homemaker and her husband Kenneth was the owner of the Lake Forest Shell Station and the  Old Elm Shell Station untill his retirement.  The couple were members of Immaculate Conception Church, Highland Park.

Beloved wife of the late Kenneth on September 14, 2015. Loving mother of Linda (Robert) Dietz III , Patricia Dietz, and Donald (Lynn) Coburn. Fond grandmother of Michael, Robert, John (Mindy), Jennifer (Andrew) and Meagan. Great grandmother of Connor, Morgan, Logan, Parker and Hailey. Dear sister of Richard (Judy) Garavaglia.

Visitation Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral service 1:00 PM at SEGUIN & SYMONDS FUNERAL HOME, 858 Sheridan Rd., Highwood, Illinois. Rev. Hernan Cuevas , pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, officiant. Interment following at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville.  Contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
