Susan Rebecca Morgan

Susan Rebecca Morgan, age 65, of Grayslake, Illinois, passed away on November 18, 2025. She was born on August 11, 1960, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Eiler Rubjerg, Jr. and Marjorie Binninger. Susan was raised in Deerfield, Illinois, and graduated from Deerfield High School in 1978.

Susan was exceptionally determined and capable. She built a meaningful career as a surgical assistant and office manager, working with Bass & Hokman, Candocia MD, and WM Leavitt DDS. Her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to helping others made her a valued presence in every office she supported.

At home and with loved ones, Susan’s generous spirit shone even brighter. She loved to cook and entertain—often so focused on preparing meals for her guests that she spent most gatherings in the kitchen, joyfully ensuring everyone else was cared for. She found comfort and pride in keeping a spotless home, especially in ironing, scrubbing floors, and vacuuming. 

Family was the heart of Susan’s life. She loved her nieces and nephews, visiting with her parents and in-laws, and being present in the everyday moments that mattered most. Caring for others came naturally to her; she was steadfast, nurturing, and selfless, always willing to show up for the people she loved.

Susan was deeply devoted to her husband, Dan, whom she married on November 14, 1992, at Lutheran Church of the Ascension in Northfield. Together, they shared 33 years of love, partnership, and unwavering support.

Susan will be remembered for her determination, her generosity, her meticulous care for her home and family, and the warmth she brought into every life she touched.

Beloved wife to Daniel Morgan. Loving sister to Marsha (the late Michael) Shields of Lake Geneva, WI, Ross Rubjerg of Chicago, IL and Lisa Rubjerg of Wauconda, IL. Dear sister in law to Tom (Renèe) of North Carolina and Jim (Laura) of North Carolina. Cherished Aunt to David Shields, Peter Shields, Sarah Shields, Rachel (Ryan) Jacobsen, Deborah Shields, Elizabeth (Jon) Palm, Timothy (Carolyn) Shields, Julia (Adam) Jester, Claudia Robinson, Jonathan Shields, Paul Shields, Johanna Shields, Paul Shields, Johanna Shields, Hannah Willems, Matthew Morgan and the late Luke Morgan. 

A Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025 starting at 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, IL 60040
