Uriel Juarez Ochoa, age 90 of Highland Park passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview. He was born November 1, 1931 in Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato, Mexico to the union of Felix and Ignacia (Ochoa) Juarez. At the age of 20 he immigrated Highland Park and returned to Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico in 1962 where he married Maria Del Refugio López Herrera. The couple returned to Highland Park where they raised their family. Uriel worked for 20 years for the Anthony Scopelliti Landscaping Company. In 1983 he ventured off and formed his own company U.J Landscaping. Uriel was a hardworking man, he loved being outdoors and with nature. First and foremost he was a devoted family man, his family meant the whole world to him. He was an extremely talkative and loved to tell famous old stories of the olden days especially to his grandchildren. He also had a enormous sweet tooth from cakes to candies, he loved his sweets.
Beloved husband of Maria Juarez. Loving father of Uriel Juarez of Highland Park, Laura (David) Servin of Highland Park, James Juarez of Highwood and David (Araceli) Juarez of Round Lake. Fond abuelito to Alexsandra Ashley Servin and Brittany Amber Servin both of Highland Park, Ruby Delaney Juarez and Kingston Jameson Juarez both of Highwood and Melanie Juarez and the late Mia Juarez of Round Lake. Dear brother of the late Sergio (late Rosa) Juarez, Daniel Juarez of Chicago, late Raul Juarez and Angelina Juarez of Chicago.
Visitation Friday, December 31, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral mass 10:00 A.M. at Saint James Church, 134 North Avenue, Highwood. Private entombment will be at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, Illinois.
